According to the Puranas, he also knowm as ‘Destroyer of Kshatriyas’, because he went on destroying all the Kshatriyas and their kingdoms. He defeated the the kingdoms of Kurus,Panchalas, Maithilas,Alkshvakus, Asmaka, Kalinga and Surasenas.
